Balesin Island, Philippines

IMG_5180.jpgThe wedding the night before had been a memorable time. After the date with the pilot I had slipped into a flowy blush skirt I had purchased from Aritzia earlier that winter. B had leant me a blouse and beach bag for the wedding dinner the night before I arrived.

I woke up in around 4am to a fire red orange sunrise. A fierce blazing beautiful color with the calming of the water. We gathered at Balasin Sala to fresh tropical fruits, dalandan, iced coffee, wine, drinks. The water again steps away from us. This is a place where breakfast will last until merienda.

Horses drew nearer. What a sight, to see horses on islands, their hooves gracing the ocean. Even animals love to wade in water, no? I wanted to ride one to the next tour of buildings. I went to Tuscany, Bali, St. Tropaz, Balesin, Mykonos, etc. all in one day. These intricate building adept with their own salas, at least 2 restaurants with waiting staff, and beautiful rooms to accommodate each village you were in. I’d definitely recommend this private island. I hope to be invited back again soon.
